What is The Las Vegas strip?

The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard road located in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada. The Vegas Strip is lined up with upscale casino hotels and runs from Mandalay Bay on the south end to the Stratosphere casino and hotel on the north end. It was initially popularized through Hollywood movies that were shot in this beautiful stretch. Today, The Strip does not need any promotion as it stands out with its top casino resorts and glamorous night life. The Las Vegas Strip is the epitome of fun and elegance with the stretch of extremely beautiful casinos, bars, night and day clubs, strip clubs, wedding chapels, magnificent street decorations, water areas, and neon lights. The Las Vegas Strip casinos started coming up in the 1940s and one of the first and most famous is the Flamingo, opened by Bugsy Siegel. The Strip is home to tallest free-standing observation tower in the entire United States, Stratosphere Tower. It is a perfect location for a photoshoot in Las Vegas.

How Long is The Las Vegas Strip?

The Las Vegas Strip is 4.2 miles or 6.8 km long from the north end to the south end in Russell Road. You can walk from Mandalay Bay on the south end to the Stratosphere casino and hotel on the north end. It is a 45 minutes walk. The Las Vegas strip map coordinates are 36.119684°N 115.172599°W.

Is Las Vegas Strip Open?

Yes, Vegas Strip is open now. After closure of some hotels early 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Vegas Strip was re opened on June 4th, 2020 and is still open. Although not all hotels are open, the Vegas Strip is live.

Are Strip Clubs Open in Las Vegas?

Strip clubs in Las Vegas are closed. The strip clubs did not reopen during the Phase 2 reopening in Nevada. A turn of events that have had both business owners and employees suffer great loss. After the state government made it clear that it will not allow strip clubs to reopen in June 2020, the owners had to seek for alternatives. The rules of Phase 2 reopening are that no dancing or nudity should go on in the clubs. So, some of the strip clubs that reopened had to reinvent their business, and they opened back as bikini bars (Schultz, 2020). It was the only way to pay the bills. The dancers now serve drinks while wearing bikinis.

Las Vegas night clubs are partly open. Las Vegas night clubs were ordered by Governor Sisolak to close down on March 11th 2020, to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Being businesses that many depended on as a means of livelihood, the night clubs remained closed for some time until June 2020, and when they reopened they had to follow strict safety regulations. Not all nightclubs reopened but some and some of the open ones include Marquee nightclub, XS nightclub, Tao nightclub, Drai's nightclub, and Kamu karaoke.

How Far is The Grand Canyon from Las Vegas Strip?

One of the best day drives you can make while in Las Vegas is to the Grand Canyon. The best route is the West Rim across the Hoover Dam and through parts of Arizona. It is about 128 miles or a 2-hour drive. Other routes are through the North or South Rim, which is 270 miles long or a 4-hour drive. You should know that the North Rim stays closed during winter.

The Vegas Strip is your best destination if you love having fun, and if you would love to have lots of it, you may consider staying late.
